Bupyeong Pungmul Festival

The 30th Bupyeong Pungmul Grand Festival is a stage of the thirtieth burst of energy and harmony resonating in the heart of the city. Bupyeong Pungmul Grand Festival, a traditional culture and arts festival representing not only Incheon but all of South Korea, has now reached a meaningful 30th anniversary. Since taking its first steps in 1997, the Bupyeong Pungmul Grand Festival has breathed our unique traditional rhythms into the bleak city center, growing into a grand venue of communication where citizens and artists become one. The lively rhythms created by the 22 neighborhood pungmul teams, the core of the festival, have served as a solid foundation connecting all residents as one. In particular, this 30th festival, held over three days from October 2 to 4, 2026, carries special meaning in reflecting on the legacy of tradition built over the past 30 years and celebrating the new future ahead, unfolding on a grander and more spectacular scale than ever before. In addition, the festival space will be expanded to include the Gulpo Stream area, a symbol of Bupyeong's urban regeneration, showcasing new and diverse content.
