The 2026 Geumjeongsanseong Festival, carrying the value of Geumjeongsan, newly designated a national park in 2026, is held over three days, from Friday, October 16 to Sunday, October 18, at Geumjeongsanseong Plaza and around the fortress. A festival of history, culture, and the arts grounded in Geumjeongsanseong, the representative cultural heritage of Busan's Geumjeong-gu and Korea's largest mountain fortress, and in Geumjeongsan National Park, it is held each year to commemorate the building of the fortress. Continuing from the Geumjeong Arts Festival that began in 1996, this year's festival presents a new charm of Geumjeong through varied programs in which the ecology and nature of Geumjeongsan National Park meet the history and culture of the fortress.
