The 2026 Gijang-gun Pet Culture Festival is a festival of communication and harmony where companion animals, their guardians, and local residents come together. Now in its third year, the festival takes 'happy coexistence with companion animals' as its theme and lays on an even richer and more varied program, offering pet owners and non-owners alike a special time to enjoy together while learning and sharing a sound pet culture. New and intriguing pet programs debut this year, among them the 'Pet Companion Walking Event,' where pets and guardians walk and bond together, and 'K-Pet's Got Talent,' where gifted dogs and cats from across the country gather to show off hidden flair and tricks. Alongside these, varied experience, education, and participation programs will share not only the joy of life with companion animals but also the meaning of respect for life and responsible pet ownership. Gijang-gun, the festival's home, continues wide-ranging efforts to spread pet culture and improve animal welfare to build a community where people and animals are happy together. Through programs that pets and guardians can join and enjoy side by side, this festival likewise aims to settle a mature pet culture and foster communication and coexistence among all members of the community.
