About this event
The 2026 Ground Forces Festival is South Korea's largest military culture festival, hosted by the Republic of Korea Army. It is a non-profit, public-interest event that presents the Army's development and future policies to the public, builds trust in the military, and spreads positive values, and it runs for five days, from Thursday, October 1 to Monday, October 5, on the runway at Gyeryongdae in Chungcheongnam-do. In its 22nd year, the 2026 festival, under the theme 'The Republic of Korea Army Protecting the Everyday Lives of Its People,' presents displays of and boarding experiences with the latest ROK and US combat equipment and demonstrations of Army TIGER+ and drone bots, while the Army policy promotion hall lets visitors see for themselves, through demonstrations, exhibits, and hands-on sessions, combat systems built on AI and advanced science and technology and the changing face of the Army. A rich program of premier military cultural performances awaits as well, including military band and honor guard ceremonies, taekwondo demonstrations, military police motorcycle maneuver demonstrations, performances by Army teams, and a road parade.
