Cheongyang Chili Pepper & Goji Berry Festival

Held as autumn begins, the Cheongyang Chili Pepper and Goji Berry Festival is a participatory festival for all ages, offering five-sense experience programs built around chili peppers and goji berries, the county's signature specialty crops. Visitors can watch a cooking show with the invited chef Yeo Gyeong-rae, a nationwide high school cooking survival contest, giant fresh-geotjeori making, a goji berry rice cake mosaic, and the King of Spice Pride show, and enjoy a varied lineup of food booths including a specialty food experience village zone, a spice-lovers' zone, and a food court and restaurant zone. In particular, the kids zone has been expanded with a Catch! Teenieping performance and photo zone, a wood culture experience zone, and Cheongyang's friends (Cheongyang-i, Cheongchorong, and Cheonghong-i), widening the program for families and children. With invited concerts by singers Song Ga-in, Park Ji-hyun, Park Hyun-bin, and Solji, plus the 'Show Us the Spirit of Cheongyang' and resident community performances, it is a representative regional festival of Chungcheongnam-do, rich in things to see and enjoy.
