Hanam Iseongsanseong Cultural Festival

Following the beat of the 'yogo' (waist drum), the oldest percussion instrument unearthed in Korea and excavated at Iseongsanseong, a special festival unfolds where Hanam's history, present, and future come together. Held under the theme 'Hanam's History, Striking the Future', this year's Hanam Iseongsanseong Cultural Festival retells the thousand years of stories held by Iseongsanseong through the culture and fresh sensibility of today. Connecting Iseongsanseong, the historic site itself, with Misa Lake Park, where citizens' everyday life breathes, the festival goes beyond simply looking at the heritage of the past: visitors watch, listen, make, and celebrate together, directly experiencing Hanam's history and future in a living festival. Citizens and visitors drum and mingle together, adding a new resonance to a thousand years of history.
