Festival Gwangmyeong

Festival Gwangmyeong is Gwangmyeong's flagship festival, filling the city's streets with music, culture, and the heat of celebration. This year's main stage, 'GM LIVE,' will be dressed by a total of eleven artists. On October 3, the singular singer-songwriter 10CM takes the stage as headliner, joined by seasoned artists including Daybreak, JKC, Asraii, and Asadal. On October 4, Kim Jong-seo, a legend of Korean rock, leads a lineup that keeps the festival burning, with Romantic Punch, Bulnabang Star Sausage Club, the Shin Hyun-hee Band, CAC:TUS, and LUAMEL. On the street plaza laid out by closing an eight-lane road, a varied program awaits everyone — random play dance, street karaoke, a bubble show, stilt-walking clowns, plaster mimes, and more — together with marble and mini games for enjoying the city's signature 'Gwangmyeong 9 Views' sights to the fullest. A 'Citizens' Parade,' in which Gwangmyeong residents themselves march through the streets, and a commemorative event for Citizens' Street will also be held, alongside 'experience and market programs' joined by Gwangmyeong's social economy organizations and other civil society groups, and busking performances in the commercial district staged by the city's young people. With all of this, the festival is set to be a full and colorful celebration.
