8th Geumcheon Science Festival

The 8th Geumcheon Science Festival '2026 G-Science Festival' is hosted and organized by the Geumcheon District Office of Seoul. Under the slogan 'A vibrant future Geumcheon communicating with AI,' the festival runs from 10:00 to 17:00 on Friday, September 18 and Saturday, September 19, 2026, across the Geumcheon District Office grounds, including the district office plaza and the Sunken Plaza, and welcomes around 9,000 youth and residents from inside and outside the district. Programs are spread across five zones: the Mulcheombeong splash zone, the district office lobby, the district office plaza, the Sunken Plaza, and the main auditorium. The Mulcheombeong splash zone features an Alcraft mobile motion simulator and an escape-room bus from the Seoul Municipal Science Museum, while the district office lobby hosts an AI self-playing piano and an AI saju fortune-reading booth. The district office plaza offers basic-science experience booths, a Unitree Go2 Pro robot dog, 3D pen activities, balance-dragonfly crafting, the X2 humanoid robot, environment-themed booths, experiences run with the Korea Meteorological Administration, upcycled planter making, and a National Geographic experience booth. At the Sunken Plaza, visitors can try digital tattoos, AI omok, AI-versus-human typing contests, and a 'spot the real painting' challenge, while the main auditorium hosts booths from OTTON (smart thermometers) and GeoWind (wind turbines) — both 2026 CES Innovation Award winners — plus 4DX World Heritage content, AR smart glasses, and a vibe-coding contest (hackathon). Stage programs include a science magic show, a magic bubble show, the science musical 'A Tomorrow That Runs on Science,' youth busking, guerrilla events, and a robot dance performance as part of the commemorative ceremony, and a stamp tour rewards visitors who collect all five stamps with a souvenir.
