Daejeon Jung-gu National Heritage Night Walk

The Daejeon Jung-gu National Heritage Night Walk is a nighttime cultural festival that weaves the modern-era cultural heritage and old-town alleys remaining around the former South Chungcheong Provincial Office into after-dark content. Set against local national heritage sites such as the former main building of the South Chungcheong Provincial Office in Daejeon, Daeheung-dong Cathedral, and the former Chungcheong office of the National Agricultural Products Quality Management Service, it runs a varied program where light, stories, performances, hands-on experiences, and markets come together. Rather than stopping at simply viewing cultural heritage, the program is built so that visitors naturally experience the old town's history and culture, and through walking, listening, watching, and joining in, rediscover the charm of downtown Jung-gu in Daejeon, where past and present coexist. It is a sustainable regional cultural festival that expands national heritage into a space experienced and enjoyed in everyday life, connects nearby commercial districts and cultural spaces together, and brings fresh vitality to the old town.
