Seoul Intangible Cultural Heritage Festival

The 2026 Seoul Intangible Cultural Heritage Festival is a traditional-culture festival in the heart of the city where intangible heritage is enjoyed together with citizens, held at Namsangol Hanok Village. Throughout the hanok village, visitors can rediscover the value and beauty of Seoul's intangible heritage, with performances, exhibitions, hands-on activities, demonstrations, and tasting programs on offer. The festival is made up of five madang, or courtyards: 〈Sinmyeong Madang〉, a spirited performance stage of Seoul's intangible heritage; 〈Somssi Madang〉, for meeting the hands and spirit of artisans up close; 〈Migam Madang〉, for experiencing the flavors of tradition; 〈Chamyeo Madang〉, which anyone can join; and 〈Tambang Madang〉, for gathering Seoul's intangible heritage. Through these varied programs, visitors can walk, listen, and touch their way to an up-close experience of tradition's value and charm.
