18th Seoul Architecture Culture Festival

Under the theme 'The Discovery of Seoul: Assembling Seoul', the 2026 18th Seoul Architecture Culture Festival set out to rediscover, together with citizens, the appeal of the architecture and city that belong to Seoul alone. Seoul generates creative possibility from the 'composite density' built by the history, culture, and local character of a high-density city. Amid rapid social change, it has kept adapting through 'accelerated evolution', quickly renewing its form on the foundation of what already exists. And through 'glocality', crossing local context with global currents, it is extending the distinctive urban experience and value of contemporary K-architecture to the whole world.

This year's festival prepares a range of participation programs so citizens can experience Seoul's architecture and city from up close and meet architectural culture in an approachable way. Through an architecture culture forum held with architects, talk programs and work tours with the winners of the 44th Seoul Metropolitan Architecture Award, and programs for young aspiring architects, the festival opens a stage where citizens discover Seoul's architecture together and shape K-architecture culture.
