Ansan Daebu Grape Festival

The Ansan Daebu Grape Festival is Ansan's flagship festival, held every September to promote the excellence of Daebu grapes, grown in the rich sea winds and fertile soil of the west coast and prized for their high sugar content and deep aroma. First held in 1995, it carries a long history and has established itself as a feast for the five senses that anyone of any age can join and enjoy, going beyond simple farm-produce sales. Around the Daebu Daba Hyanggi Theme Park venue, a direct-trade market offers fresh, high-quality grapes at fair prices with middleman margins removed. The festival's highlight — stomping grapes by hand to lively music — is an enjoyment not to be missed. Celebration performances, the Daebu Haesolgil Walking Festival and the Ansan Marathon join in as varied linked events, and abundant food comes together to offer memories of falling for Daebu, delighting in it and lingering in it.
