Cheonan Heungtaryeong Dance Festival

The Cheonan Heungtaryeong Dance Festival celebrates 23 years of history since its first edition in 2003. It has been selected eight times as a cultural tourism festival designated by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and named a regional representative performing arts festival for six consecutive years. Designated an Honorary Cultural Tourism Festival in 2020, it has also earned the top "Ilpum Festival" (first-rate festival) grade for two consecutive years in South Chungcheong Province's "One City, One Signature Festival" evaluations. The Cheonan Heungtaryeong Dance Festival 2026 runs for five days from October 1 to 5, 2026. Throughout the festival, varied dance programs unfold, including the National Dance Competition, the World Dance National Competition, and street dance parades. An urban-style global dance festival, it takes the city center itself — Cheonan Sports Complex and the surrounding Samgeori Park area — as its stage.
