The Ulsan Ulju World Mountain Film Festival is a film festival illuminating nature and human life through mountain films. It captures the many ways human beings live alongside nature — trial and triumph, challenge and failure, conflict and coexistence — and is distinguished by the deep reflection on life it draws from those stories. Programs and operations actively reflect the unique geographical setting and natural environment of the Yeongnam Alps, solidifying the festival's identity; it functions not merely as a screening venue but as a meeting ground where mountaineers, filmmakers and audiences come together. It also introduces a wide range of domestic and international mountain films and documentaries, works to discover and screen films that expand the boundaries of genre and form, and deepens the festival each year through works of fresh perspective.
