Deoksugung Palace Seokjojeon at Night

'Deoksugung Palace Seokjojeon at Night' is a Deoksugung nighttime viewing program comprising a 'Seokjojeon night tour' with a professional guide, a 'terrace cafe experience' savoring the gabae-cha (coffee) that King Gojong loved along with desserts to the sound of classical music, and a musical performance telling the story of the imperial family of the Korean Empire. Launched as a pilot project in 2021 and officially established in 2022 on the strength of high satisfaction and response, it has run on a half-yearly basis since 2023. Following a palace guide, visitors take a journey back in time to Deoksugung's Seokjojeon, the hall that holds the story of the Korean Empire's imperial family, and through 'once-in-a-lifetime palace shots' using props from the enlightenment era, along with souvenirs, they can long remember their night at Deoksugung Seokjojeon — a complex cultural experience program.
