Gyeongbokgung Palace Starlight Night Walk

The Gyeongbokgung Palace Starlight Night Walk is a nighttime exploration program that tours the northern precincts of Gyeongbokgung Palace while experiencing royal court cuisine and traditional culture. Moving through the palace with an expert guide, participants delve into the daily life of the Joseon royal family and the historical stories bound up with Gyeongbokgung. At the Oesojubang, the palace kitchen, visitors encounter a special twelve-course surasang (royal table), a modern reinterpretation of the Joseon royal court meal, presented doseok-style. This year, a special changgeuk (traditional opera) carrying the king's story takes the stage at Jibokjae, Gojong's study, offering a singular experience where the history of the space and the performance merge. Visitors then gaze at the starlight held in Hyangwonji pond and savor an atmosphere quite different from daytime amid the quiet palace scenery.
