The 'Geumcheon Siheung Haenggung Cultural Festival' is Geumcheon-gu's flagship historical and cultural festival, carrying the district's historical identity and its meaning in culture and the arts. The 2026 edition opens with Part 1, 'The Royal Procession Celebration,' expressing residents' excitement as they await the king's procession; Part 2 presents 'King Jeongjo the Great's Procession to the Royal Tomb' in partnership with Seoul, reenacting the king's journey to pay his respects at the tomb of his father, Crown Prince Sado; and the finale, Part 3, features 'Siheung Haenggung Night,' the festival's signature content — traditional Korean music everyone can enjoy together in the spirit of King Jeongjo's love for his people. It is a festival where all residents join in through these richly varied programs.
