Tracing its origins to the 1st Baekje Grand Festival first held in Buyeo-gun in 1955, the Baekje Cultural Festival marks its 72nd edition this year as Korea's representative historical culture festival.
It is a festival that has spread the brilliant culture and long history of Baekje far and wide, carried on and developed the spirit and cultural heritage of our ancestors in a modern way, and raised the region's identity and pride.
The 72nd Baekje Cultural Festival runs for nine days from Saturday, October 3 to Sunday, October 11, 2026, under the theme 'Beautiful Baekje, Shining Sabi', throughout the Buyeo-eup town area.
Centered on the Jeongnimsa Temple Site, Seoktap-ro, Uijeol-ro, and the Gwanbuk-ri historic site, it presents around 40 programs across seven fields, including rites and Buddhist ceremonies, historical culture parades, performances, exhibitions, hands-on experiences, and nighttime scenery.
In particular, with this year's festival stage set in the Buyeo town area, it runs as an open festival where Baekje's history and culture mingle with the local commercial district and residents' daily lives, offering visitors a special cultural experience in which past and present coexist.
